Sample 1: Letter to boss after being fired

[Your Name]
[Your Address]
[City, State, Zip Code]

[DATE]

[Name of Employer]
[Name of Company]
[Address of Company]

Dear [Name of Employer]:

This letter is to express my official dissatisfaction with my dismissal on [DATE]. According to the provisions of my contract, which I signed on [DATE] and have attached, I must get three warnings before being fired. On the above-mentioned day, however, I was dismissed without notice.

For the last [six years], I've worked for [Name of Company] and have always received great comments and assessments from my project managers and supervisors. I've attached three awards I've won in the last two years.

My dismissal was for an unknown cause. It appears to be linked to a claimed incident with a coworker that never occurred.

I am entitled to a hearing to examine the situation under my contract's rules and regulations. I also have the right to attend the hearing with a union representative or another coworker.

I expect a response from you within [30 days] of this letter's date. [555-123-4567] or [[email protected]] are both good ways to contact me.

Sincerely,

Sample 2: Apology Letter After Being Fired

Greetings, Madame,

I'd want to apologise profusely for my dismissal from ACME Magazines. You relied on my capacity to manage the workload, and I was unable to do so. Unfortunately, this resulted in a lot of stress for you, and I apologise for that. You were left in the lurch and had to hire and train a replacement right away.

I realise your dissatisfaction with me and accept full responsibility for the consequences. My actions were inconsistent with company policy, and I was overwhelmed by the projects. I am sorry that this has caused you and the organisation so much shame.

I believed I could manage it when I signed up for the tasks. I was mistaken. That, along with the unintentional distribution of a private email to the whole department in which our team leader revealed that he was the father of his secretary's kid, led to my dismissal from ACME Periodicals.

Because of all that has happened, I am writing to express my deepest and long-overdue regrets to you, the department, and the organisation. I se for for my lac fork of judgement and am fully aware that my actions may have unintentionally caused irreversible damage to the project at hand.

As far as I can tell, many of the protocols had to be changed as a result, putting the project even farther behind schedule.

I've subsequently sent the team leader and his secretary an apologies letter and volunteered to assist in the training of my successor if necessary. If there is anything I can do to help you relax, please don't hesitate to contact me whenever it is convenient for you.

Thank you very much.

Sample 3: Letter of appeal for reconsideration

Respected Sir,

Thank you for reading and thinking about my message. As you are aware, my job with Hoopla Corporation is coming to an end on January 3, 2000. Poor performance on my part, I was told, was the rationale for this decision.

In my instance, I feel there was a misunderstanding. Until a new supervisor was recruited this past year, I had worked for this firm for eight years and had consistently positive performance reports.

Mr Nampui has only been my boss for six months and has had limited access to my work. He never said anything to me about his dissatisfaction with my work. When I go, I understand Mr Groves' nephew, Rick, will take up my duties.

Mr Nampui has not given me enough time to exhibit or explain my abilities. I also feel my dismissal was unjust because I was never informed of my poor performance.

I'd appreciate the chance to speak with you about my circumstance. I'd appreciate it if you could let me know when you'll be free.

Sincerely,
Name.

Sample 4: Thank you letter after being fired sample

Dear sir,

I'd want to thank you for the chance to work for ABC Co.Ltd. I learned a lot during my time at the agency, and I'm confident that the skills I developed will help me in my real estate profession for many years to come.

I recognise that my time management issues made my position untenable, and I appreciate that I was given the chance to correct them before being fired. Despite my inability to reach the minimum standards, I will use the lessons learnt from this experience to improve my professional skills in the future.

Thank you once again for the chance and for the teachings you taught me at ABC Co.Ltd.

Regards,
Name.
